New Collar Complements My Fresh Fur

My latest occurrence of Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) has caused compromise to both my internal and external health. Now that my Red Blood Cells (RBCs) are plentiful and my hair coat displays its former radiant sheen, I needed something decorative to compliment my youthful, new haircut. Therefore, my dad decided to splurge and buy me a fancy new collar. One of our favorite pet stores, The Healthy Spot, has many fashionable collar, leash, and harness choices for sophisticated dogs (like me). Wearing my brightly colored, striped collar makes me feel like I am about to take a fabulous trip to an East coast summertime destination. Although I have never been to the Hamptons, I do summer at my Grandma and Grandpa’s place in Massachusetts. Their lakeside home holds many exciting memories for me. Going to visit the ‘rents (grandparents) was my first cross country trip in my healthy, pre-Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) years. I really love all the unscripted playtime I get at the lake. I can spend all day running by the waters edge and barking at the waves (see pic of Cardiff running out of water). Unlike on our trips to Southern California beaches where I do not voluntarily swim, I readily wade out into the lake on my self-assigned lifeguard duty. Photo of Taking a Break From My Lake Watch Duty Well, I have digressed and must get back to the topic of my flattering collar. This is the first time I have worn any accessory made by Bella Bean. It is very sturdy, comfortable, and provides sharp contrast to my natural brown and black fur. When buying dog collars, my dad normally does not spend the dollar amount it would take him to fill the tank in his Prius. Yet, as I have recovered from three bouts of typically life ending illness, I am very much deserving of a fancy collar. Although it will inevitably get dirty, I like my collars to exude the appearance of seasoned, but not shabby, doggy style. Look for pictures of me modeling my new collar, and its eventual replacement, in my ongoing pursuit of canine appropriate adventure. Thank you for reading my latest blog post.
