Dr. Patrick Mahaney's Best Nine on Instagram for 2016

Do you use a social media to share aspects of your personal or professional lives? As a holistic veterinarian having a concierge-style, house call practice serving clients and patients in their homes in Los Angeles I often find myself in a variety of interesting neighborhoods and circumstances. When appropriate, I will share information about my patients and clients and enjoy the opportunity to give the world a behind the scenes view of some of the unique day-to-day experiences my practice provides.

Additionally, I like to have a life ouside of veterinary medicine (hence the hashtag I created #lifeoutsideofveterinarymedicine), so I share photos and verbal recollections of hiking Los Angeles' numberous canyon hikes, making media appearances, traveling, walking Cardiff on the beach when he was still alive, and even doing some traveling when time allows.

Instagram is my primary social media tool, as I enjoy the creativity of capturing the moment with a photo and the ability to attach a few comments and cross post on other social media outlet (Facebook, Twitter) in one fell swoop.

There's a website that lets you compile your best nine Instagram posts and learn the number of likes the select posts received. Here's mine @PatrickMahaney 2016 Best Nine.

Cardiff and my patient Norbert the Dog dominated my page and the posts collectively garnered >10,000 likes (not bad for just having 1000 organic followers...no bots required). It comes to no surprise to me that Norbert was so popular, as he's got >400K followers on Instagram!
