You may not realize it, but fleas are a year-round problem in many parts of the country. Not only are fleas capable of causing annoying irritation to your pet's skin and chewing, licking, and scratching as a means of self soothing, but the pesky ectoparasites can also carry serious disease.
Although days are colder, your canine or feline companion is still susceptible and your household could quickly become infested and serve as an oingoing source of flea infecitons for months to come.
