In addition to my clinical practice, I enjoy the chance to share my perspective on holistic pet health and the business of veterinary medicine by engaging in public speaking.
My biggest opportunity (so far) has been a six-hour, non-credit course offered on a quarterly basis through UCLA Extension called Caring for Your Dog or Cat: A Pet Care Seminar (sign up for the summer 2015 seminar on Sat 8/22/15 9A-4P PST via the link to the left). The upcoming seminar will be my second presentation at UCLA Extension. I hope to see you there.
I’ve also presented at and been on panels at veterinary schools and pet-advocacy conferences, including:
Branding, Social Media and You (The Veterinarian) in 2013-15 at:
Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine
Student American Veterinary Medical Association Symposium (SAVMA) in 2013.
Bloggers vs. Veterinarians: It’s Not a War, Folks…Come learn How to Get Along, a panel of bloggers and veterinarians (including 2013 American Animal Hospital Association [AAHA] president, Dr. Kate Knutson) at BlogPaws 2013.
Veterinarian and Pet Bloggers: Veterans of the Social Media “War Zone”, a panel of bloggers and veterinarians (moderated by Tom Collins, BlogPaws co-founder)at the 2013 AAHA Conference.
If you are interested in having me appear at your conference or event as a speaker or panelist, please send me a brief introductory email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
