Severely burned French Bulldog nearly healed with acupuncture treatments

Buddha’s severe burns over his neck and chest (from an unknown cause) have been healing remarkably well. Please view Buddha's picture gallery (warning- some photos are graphic) showing his progress. Over the past 6 weeks, I have been administering dry needle and electroacupuncture treatments which noticeably improves the affected tissue’s appearance during each treatment. Buddha’s inherent strong healing capacity has negated any potential need for skin graft surgery to achieve full closure of the burn site. As part of my house call based acupuncture practice, California Pet Acupuncture & Wellness, Inc., I use a combination of dry needle and electroacupuncture to treat a variety of conditions, including arthritis, degenerative joint disease (DJD), intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), and skin trauma (wounds, burns, decubital ulcers, etc). I also take a Chinese medicine approach to Buddha’s wounds by enhancing his immune health with probiotic supplements and providing the natural anti-inflammatory effect of Omega 3 fatty acids (Salmon oil). Buddha’s healthy constitution permits ongoing wound healing even after completion of a long course of antibiotic therapy. Buddha is such a good patient and very well tolerates all of his treatments. As I have known Buddha for years before this terrible incident, we have a strong patient-doctor connection that helps keep him calm during his acupuncture sessions. Buddha’s ongoing medical care is being funded by the Rascal & Chloe Fund, Inc. and the philanthropic donations good Samaritans make in Buddha’s name. As the Rascal & Chloe fund was so generous in taking responsibility for Buddha’s care, my treatment of Buddha is provided pro-bono. If you are interested in funding Buddha’s treatment in any capacity, please visit the Rascal & Chloe Fund website and follow the PayPal link on the bottom of their webpage. Your donation is tax deductible. Please contact Dr. Patrick Mahaney via email at patrick@patrickmahaney.com with any questions or concerns. Feel free to leave well wishes for Buddha in the comments section below. Thank you, Buddha and Dr. Mahaney
