Conversations With Cousin Cameo- Celery And Apples Make My Tummy Smile

It is so great to have dog friends around the country and world with whom I correspond. Here is Cameo's second attempt at canine correspondence, which is part of an ongoing series of our bi-coastal conversations. Cameo is a very sweet Yorkshire Terrier living the good life in Massachusetts. Oh Cardiff, I did it now. I guess I am my own worst enemy after all. After feeling so good for three days, I then forgot I was supposed to remain calm. So, I foolishly ran around a little yesterday cuz I get sooo excited when Auntie Becki and Gramma get home from work that I just have to run to greet them. Unfortunately, I had an itching fit, used my bad leg to scratch, and almost passed out. Maybe it's my new medication, I don't know, but I got tipsy and Gramma took a hissy fit on me. I guess I scared the bjesus out of her. She wrapped me up in Auntie Becki's great smelling sweatshirt and locked me in my crate. Gramma is waiting to hear from my vet and then she will probably I will have to haul my butt back to Auburn for an xray. Gramma is also reading me a lot of info that your dad sent, which is kind of scaring me cuz this thing could be real bad. I am hoping that she can just take lessons on "how to replace doggie kneecaps, " cuz I will be sick to my stomach if I need an operation. I don't have a lot of money in my “bone bank” or any pet insurance. Unfortunately, the new Obama health bill is not going to help little old me. I wish this was happening to that mean, old, mangy cat down the street, instead of me. I don't know how long I can write as Grampa just stepped out and forgot to lock my crate door. So, I snuck out of my prison cell but have to return very shortly before he catches me on the computer. OOOOOOOOOOHHHH - I gotta go. Here comes Grampa. False alarm! Phew! It was only the UPS guy, who’s truck sounded just like Grampa's. Anyway Cardiff, I shouldn't be complaining to you, as I am aware of the problems you have faced with your own health. By the looks of you I would never have thought that you could have arthritis, in your toes no less! Does it hurt when you walk? Does it hurt when you get a pedicure? Does it hurt more in the mornings after being still all night? Does it feel better after you move around a little? I bet your daddy give you some awesome massages! You referred to me as being over weight and having "fat rolls," but I thought I look pretty buff! I certainly don’t have any problems attracting suitors of the opposite sex. My brother is twice as big as me, as I was the runt of the litter (and the cutest by far). As you my dear cousin who is always looking out for my best interests (and your dad being a vet), I will have to heed your advice. Maybe I can find a jazzercise class nearby. Gramma is always warning me to stay away from the cat food, which she puts out of reach to assuage my temptations. I will have to start eating more vegetables. I do love celery and apples, so much it makes my tummy smile I suppose the older I get, the harder it will be to lose excess baggage. Paw pads be tired. Time to get back to my crate. Cardiff, keep taking your medications and supplements like a good boy. Tell everyone I said hi and thanks for all the advice. Give your dads a big lick on the cheek from your "chunky" cousin. Love you to pieces, Cameo
