One of my best canine buddies, Olivia (a yellow Labrador Retriever), recently celebrated her third birthday. Although I wasn't available to gobble up my share of her celebratory treats, I want to give her a special belated shout out.
Olivia's mom gives us the scoop on the birthday girl's special day.
Olivia's bday was Mon Feb 28th. We chose this day because it was the 1 year anniversary of the day that we brought her home. She turned 3.
In the year that Olivia "Hope" Pollock has been with us we have fallen madly in love with her. She is our beautiful white "Dudley" labby - sweet, smart, loving, mellow in the house/100% labby on the street- with markings like a peach.
For Olivia's birthday, we hand-made a colorful card; bought her 2 leather collars - 1 red with hearts and 1 pink with diamond shapes; bought her some new squeekies; and bought her a faux leopard jacket with a collar.
For her special birthday dinner we went to In-N-Out and got her a double double, which we served to her warm but without the bun.
I hope that Olivia and I get to share a birthday in our collective futures.
