Memorial for Georgia the Labrador Retriever

It’s always sad to experience the loss of one of my patients.  The dogs and cats that I work with as patients are often part of my life for months to years, so a void is left when they cross the rainbow bridge. Creating a memorial helps my clients say goodbye to their canine or feline companion in a manner that celebrates the pet’s life. Recently, one of my favorite patients, Georgia, peacefully left us for the other side.  She was surrounded by loved ones and family members the entire time.  I’ll never forget my client’s son stating how much he’ll miss Georgia’s velvet ears. Here’s Georgia’s owner’s memorial to her beloved pooch: Dear friends, Last night, we said good bye to our big, sweet, mellow, lovable Georgia, who would have turned 13 in February.  She was surrounded by so much love and died peacefully on the sofa.  I wish I'd let her up there more often.  For all who knew her, you knew what a loyal, good-natured friend she was to us all.  As Henry said, "We'll never have another dog as good as Georgia."  Give your pets some extra love in honor of Georgia tonight.  A house sure feels empty when they leave us.  Love, Sarah Thank you for reading this article.  Your questions and comments are completely welcome (I’ll respond).
